Middle-class suffers losses of $1.5 trillion from climate change between 1980 and 2014: UBS
Posted On: Jan. 12, 2016 12:00 AM CSTA report by Swiss financial services firm UBS A.G. has said in a report that climate change caused losses of $1.5 trillion for the middle-class across the world between 1980 and 2014, reports Daily News & Analysis citing the Press Trust of India.
In Asia, 91% of the weather-related losses were uninsured, while in the United States the figure stood at 32%, said the report.
Natural disasters caused losses of $32 billion in the first six months of 2015, the report revealed.
