2015 political risks set to continue in 2016: Verisk Maplecroft

U.K.-based Verisk Maplecroft's 2016 Political Risk Outlook report has said that political risks of 2015 are set to continue in 2016, reported CFO Innovation Asia.

Low commodity prices, conflict and terrorism threats in the Middle East, high levels of corruption in Latin America, are among the main drivers of political risk in 2016.

Geopolitical tensions will remain acute in several regions through the year.

Verisk Maplecroft said that increasing conflict through proxy forces could increase the risk of business and supply chain disruption in the Middle East and North Africa region.
