Two separate natural disasters have hit Australia and are threatening lives and property, reported Xinhua.

A bushfire is burning 100 kilometers south of Perth city in Western Australia state. The blaze has burnt through 11,000 hectares so far. Authorities said that the fire was started by a lightning strike and was fanned by strong winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, heavy rains, floods and strong winds have hit the country's New South Wales state. Floods have also hampered rescue efforts in the state.
