Critical infrastructure at risk of cyber attacks: Expert

Kevin Curran, senior member of the U.S.-based Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, has said that critical infrastructure in the United Kingdom is at risk of cyber attacks, Computing reports.

His warning comes after recent reports of cyber attacks on Ukrainian utilities. Mr. Curran said that modern networks "were not designed with security in mind." "Hackers are using increasingly clever methods and tools to attack national infrastructure systems," he said.
