Zurich plucks AIG exec as corporate underwriting officer for North America

Don Pickens has been named chief underwriting officer for Zurich Insurance Zurich Global Corporate in North America, Zurich announced Wednesday.

Mr. Pickens succeeds Patrick Daley, who will assume a new role as head of property for the East Region within Global Corporate in North America. Mr. Pickens most recently served as senior vice president and chief risk officer of American International Group Inc.'s Global Commercial business.

In addition, Richard Montminy — previous east regional manager of property — has been named head of property for Global Corporate in North America. Joe Tinetti, who previously held that position, will become head of marine and energy property. Both Messrs. Montminy and Pickens are based in New York.
