Turkish Airlines cancels 529 flights because of snow

Turkish Airlines Inc. said that it has cancelled 529 flights over the three days due to heavy snowfall in Istanbul, reports Hurriyet Daily News.

Snowfall prompted cancellations of hundreds of flights in Istanbul, mainly in the city's Ataturk Airport.

Turkish Airlines said that it transferred about 9,700 passengers to hotels and offered food for around 28,900 passengers.
