Willis to join S&P 500 Index

Standard & Poor's Corp. has said that London-based brokerage Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. will join the S&P 500 Index on Jan. 4, 2016, Bloomberg reports.

Willis will replace U.S.-based Fossil Group Inc., a firm specializing in fashion accessories.

Willis agreed to merge with U.S.-based Towers Watson & Co. in June.

Willis Towers Watson P.L.C. will trade under the ticker symbol WLTW post the merger.
