Airport suffers $10 million in property and business interruption losses from floods

India-based Chennai International Airport's director Deepak Shastri said that the airport has suffered a loss of 665.6 million Indian rupees ($10 million) due to the recent floods, reports NDTV citing the Press Trust of India. "

The estimated damage to communication, navigation and surveillance facilities and more works out to INR 310.6 million," said Mr. Shastri. Losses in terms of traffic and non-traffic revenues totaled INR 355 million, Mr. Shastri added.
