Bird flu cases rise

The French Ministry of Agriculture has said that the number of cases of highly pathogenic avian flu in the nation has increased to 61, reported RT.com.

The recent cases were detected in southwestern France. The European Centre for Disease and Control and the World Health Organization said that at present there is no evidence that the virus has been transmitted to humans. Japan and China have restricted the imports of eggs, animals, birds and poultry products from France.
