Volkswagen Korea recalls nearly 29,000 vehicles

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has said that German automaker Volkswagen A.G.'s South Korean unit Volkswagen Korea is recalling 28,957 cars for safety-related mechanical defects, reports Yonhap News Agency.

The recall affects the U.S. and European versions of eight models including Golf, EOS, Scirocco, Tiguan, Jetta, CC and Passat that were made in the 2010-2014 model years. Volkswagen said it will repair the defect free of charge.
