Product offers medical bill negotiation, out-of-network claims management

Health care expense management company CoPatient Inc. has launched new offerings for employers and health plans that aim to help reduce overall health care costs.

They include employer-sponsored medical bill negotiation and out-of-network claims management, CoPatient said Wednesday in a statement. Employers can offer their employees protection from out-of-pocket costs and billing errors through CoPatient's subscription-based medical bill negotiation service.

“CoPatient has worked with thousands of consumers to manage medical bills, and many employers wanted to sponsor our service for their employees without requiring the employees to pay a fee. We've rolled out this subscription model in direct response to that need,” Tom Torre, CEO of CoPatient, said in the statement.
