Rare tornado hits Sydney

Sydney has been hit with destructive winds with speed above 200 km per hour and cricket ball-sized hail as a rare tornado struck the city, reported Reuters.

The tornado caused flash floods, power outages and brought down trees.

The storm prompted some international and domestic flights to be diverted to other cities.
