French courier firms fined for price fixing
Posted On: Dec. 16, 2015 12:00 AM CSTFrench competition authority Autorite de la Concurrence has imposed a fine of €672.3 million ($739 million) on several courier services firms in the country for price fixing, Bloomberg reported.
Geodis S.A. has received the maximum penalty of €196.1 million, followed by Chronopost International S.A., which has been fined €99.2 million.
French units of DPD Dynamic Parcel Distribution GmbH & Co. K.G., FedEx Corp. and TNT Express N.V., are also some of the firms that have been penalized.
