Lockton acquires Brazilian specialty broker

Lockton Cos. L.L.C. said Tuesday that Lockton Brazil has acquired São Paulo-based VIS Corretora de Seguros e Beneficios Ltda.

The agreement is effective in January. Terms were not disclosed.

VIS is a consulting insurance brokerage and benefits adviser that provides risk consulting.

“We saw in VIS, a client centric culture and dynamic management team, which will complement our strategy and further strengthen our expertise in the local market,” Tony Gusmão, CEO of Lockton Brazil, said in a statement.
