Russian insurers' fees for aviation insurance up 45% in first 9 months

Russia's central bank has said that total fees of the nation's insurers for insurance of aviation risks increased 45% year on year to 10.1 billion Russian rubles ($144 billion) in the first nine months of 2015, reports Forinsurer.

Payments in the segment increased over 4 times during the period.

Total fees for hull insurance of aircraft totaled RUB 7.19 billion rubles during the nine months.

Sogaz Insurance Group was the largest insurer of aviation risks in the country with a market share of 27.7%.
