Class action over leaky buildings

Ireland-based building products maker James Hardie Industries P.L.C. has been sued for more than $200 million New Zealand ($135 million) by New Zealand-based building owners over leakage problems, Stuff.co.nz reports.

The class action civil lawsuit filed by lawyer Adina Thorn alleges that James Hardie used defective cladding materials.

"The owners allege they have suffered extensive losses, damages and health issues that are caused by faulty James Hardie materials," Ms. Thorn said.
