Insurers, reinsurers will see continuation of market trend in 2016: Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo & Co. has said that insurers and reinsurers will see "much of the same" market trend in 2016 as in 2015, Artemis.bm reported.

Wells Fargo anticipates third-party reinsurance capital to continue to expand its share of the overall market in 2016.

"Alternative capital, especially in catastrophe property, will continue to attract investors," Wells Fargo said, adding that "in addition to an alternative for insurance companies, we anticipate more corporate insureds utilizing alternative capital."
