European Space Agency hit by cyber attack

The European Space Agency has been hacked by hacktivist group Anonymous, CSO Online reports.

The group targeted ESA's subdomains including due.esrin.esa.int, exploration.esa.int and sci.esa.int.

Anonymous also posted the breached data online and said that this was done for amusement only.

ESA's 8,107 names, email addresses, and passwords were leaked in the attack.

Anonymous also posted contact details for various ESA supporters and researchers online.
