Bird flu detected in Germany, more cases found in France

There are signs that bird flu is spreading in Europe as new cases have been detected in France and one in Germany, reported Farmers Weekly.

German authorities culled more than 13,000 birds at a poultry farm in Germany's Bavaria state. The total number of bird flu cases in France has increased to six following the recent detection of bird flu in the country's Dordogne and Landes regions. At least eight nations have banned French poultry imports.
