Indonesia's insurance sector outlook 'stable'

Fitch Ratings Inc. has said that Indonesia's insurance sector is likely to stabilize in 2016, Asia Insurance Review reported.

The outlook for the country's insurance sector in 2016 is 'stable,' said the rating agency. Fitch said that economic recovery and steady demand are among the factors supporting the nation's nonlife insurance sector. A number of initiatives taken by the regulator to optimize capacity of local reinsurers could broaden the sector's scale of operation and increase the level of competitiveness among domestic players.
