The United States Geological Survey said that a magnitude 7.2 earthquake has hit Tajikistan, reports Headlines & Global News citing news agencies.

The quake's epicenter was located around 65 miles west of Tajikistan's Murghob region and 85 miles northeast of the country's Khorugh region.

The tremor was felt in several nations, including India and Pakistan.
