Major automakers look at five-day production loss due to rains in India

Several major automakers are looking at a production loss of at least five days at their factories in India's Chennai city due to heavy rains, reported Business Standard.

The rains have interrupted the supply chain preventing automakers from sending finished products to markets. Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is experiencing a daily production loss of 1,800 vehicles. Automakers including Eicher Motors Ltd. and Ford India Pvt. Ltd. have also been affected.
