Regulatory changes to improve South Korean insurers' capital management: Fitch

Fitch Ratings Ltd. has said in a report that forthcoming regulatory changes are likely to improve South Korean insurers' capital and risk management capabilities, reports Asia Insurance Review.

The South Korean regulator is looking to strengthen industry capitalization and financial strength through the implementation of a tighter regulatory capital regime. Fitch said that this would prompt insurers to focus more on risk management.
