Bank of England asked to review ILS risks in first half of 2016

The Bank of England has been asked to review the potential for risks to arise from insurance-linked securities and alternative capital in the first half of 2016, reported Artemis.bm.

The BoE's Financial Policy Committee said that this can create "connections between insurance risks and other financial intermediaries."

U.K. insurance and reinsurance "is subject to potential headwinds, which could affect U.K. insurers' resilience in the long run," the FPC said in a recent report.
