Insurer forms inland marine division for construction, transportation sectors

Specialty insurer Kinsale Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kinsale Capital Group Inc., has formed an inland marine division.

The division will initially focus on the inland marine classes found within the construction, mobile equipment, transportation, and retail areas, Richmond, Virgina-based Kinsale said Tuesday in a statement.

Kansas City, Missouri-based Havis Wright will lead the inland marine division. Previously, Mr. Wright was an associate for national brokerage at Marsh L.L.C. Prior to that he was a marine underwriter at The Travelers Indemnity Co., according to the statement.

“I am pleased to join the Kinsale team and help continue to broaden the company’s product offering,” Mr. Wright said in the statement.
