Russian insurers' premium volume up 3.6% in first nine months

Data from the central bank of Russia has shown that premiums collected by the nation's insurers increased 3.6% year on year to 768.63 billion Russian rubles ($11.56 billion) in the first nine months of 2015, reports Forinsurer.

Insurance payments totaled RUB 364.15 billion during the period.

Premiums for liability insurance increased 11.2% and accounted for 5.2% of the total premium volume.

Premium volume from voluntary property insurance decreased 9.7% to RUB 282.53 billion during the nine months.
