Lloyd's registers first Chinese broker

Shanghai Asian Insurance Brokers Co. Ltd. has become the first Chinese insurance broker to register with Lloyd's of London, reports Asia Insurance Review.

SAIB said that two senior official at Lloyd's handed the formal approval documents to the broker's chairman Bao Rongqing.

SAIB said that it will tap the strengths of Lloyd’s to open up China's reinsurance market and support the development of the Chinese insurance sector.
