Dutch government to sell off state-owned insurer ASR Nederland
Posted On: Nov. 30, 2015 12:00 AM CSTDutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem has said that the government is looking to sell off state-owned insurer ASR Nederland N.V., reports Expatica.
Mr. Dijsselbloem said that the Dutch government is considering an initial public offering for ASR in the first half of 2016.
Mr. Dijsselbloem said the number of shares of ASR to be sold off has not yet been determined.
The Dutch government said that the insurer had been preparing itself "in recent years for a sale, and has a strong position in the Dutch insurance market."
