Global loss events suggest ILS funds becoming increasingly specialized and diversified

Recent loss events globally have highlighted that insurance-linked securities funds and managers are becoming increasingly diversified and specialized as they deploy more capital through collateralized reinsurance and private transactions, reports Artemis.bm.

The losses have also hinted that ILS funds and their managers are becoming more exposed to a broader range of events. Currently, there is potential for ILS fund exposure in the aviation reinsurance segment, reports Artemis.bm.
