Insurer and reinsurer Talanx' profit up

German insurer and reinsurer Talanx A.G.'s operating profit increased 4.4% year on year to € 1.51 billion ($1.61 billion) in the first nine months of 2015, reports Xprimm.com.

Talanx' gross written premiums increased 12.1% to €24.35 billion ($26.02 billion) during the period.

The nonlife reinsurance division of Talanx posted a 20.8% increase in gross written premiums to €7.31 billion ($7.81 billion).

Talanx expects its net profit to be between €600 million ($641.1 million) and €650 million ($694.5 million) in 2015.
