Reinsurers in MENA urged to rethink ways of doing business

Experts at a recent conference urged reinsures in the Middle East and North Africa region to rethink ways of doing business, reports Middle East Insurance Review.

The reinsurance sector in the MENA region has a lot of scope to significantly contribute towards the economy and explore ways to improve its efficiency, said the experts.

A Dubai Financial Services Authority official said that as reinsurance products become commoditized, reinsurers should review ways in which contracts are written and also ways to increase efficiency.
