Australian organizations increasingly vulnerable to cyber attackReprints
Chris Pogue, an official at Australian data investigation company Nuix Pty. Ltd., said that government agencies and organizations in Australia are increasingly vulnerable to a major cyber attack, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.
"Data is the new oil," yet Australia still has a "head-in-the-sand approach," said Mr. Pogue.
Hackers are becoming more creative and more aggressive, added Mr. Pogue.
Individuals and small firms have self-reported financial loss worth $234 million Australian ($166.7 million) to the new Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network in the first quarter of 2015.
