Lloyd's seeks to tap growth in emerging Asia
Posted On: Nov. 13, 2015 12:00 AM CSTLloyd's of London is looking to tap rapid growth in emerging Asian markets to bolster growth of its specialist insurance business, The Straits Times reported.
Lloyd's chief executive, Inga Beale, said that growth in gross written premiums in China, India and the Southeast Asia is outpacing economic growth. Ms. Beale said that the growth potential exists because insurance coverage in these nations is at a "very low base.”
