Lufthansa cancels 929 flights after cabin crew strike

A strike by cabin crew of Germany's Deutsche Lufthansa A.G. has prompted the airline to cancel 929 out of a total of 3,000 scheduled international and domestic flights, reported Euronews.

Lufthansa said that about 113,000 passengers have been grounded due to the strike.

The strike affected Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf airports, added the airline.

The strike by the crew over early retirement benefits and pensions is likely to last for a week.
