Jaguar Land Rover suffers losses of $372.5m from Tianjin explosions

U.K.-based Jaguar Land Rover Automotive P.L.C. has suffered losses of £245 million ($372.5 million) from explosions at China's Tianjin port in the quarter through September, reports Bloomberg.

The explosions damaged Jaguar Land Rover's 5,800 vehicles.

The automaker's Indian parent company Tata Motors Ltd. said that insurance claims may take some months to conclude.

Jaguar Land Rover suffered a £92 million ($139.9 million) loss in the quarter.

The Tianjin explosions also hit automakers such as Toyota Motor Corp. and Volkswagen A.G.
