Global catastrophe losses in October estimated at over $10 billion: Aon Benfield

Aon Benfield has said in a report that economic losses from global catastrophes in October are estimated to total over $10 billion, Artemis.bm reported.

Typhoon Mujigae that hit parts of China and the Philippines was the costliest disaster of the month, with economic losses estimated to be $4.2 billion. The report also said that flooding in France was the costliest event in Europe, which is expected to cause economic losses of over $1 billion and insured losses of up to $720 million.
