Zurich Brasil to return to double-digit premium growth in 2015

David Colmenares, CEO of property/casualty insurance at Zurich Insurance Group Ltd.'s Brazilian unit Zurich Brasil Seguros S.A., said that the insurer will return to double-digit premium growth in 2015, reported BNamericas.

Mr. Colmenares said that Zurich's premium growth in the property/casualty insurance segment is expected to be as high as 30-40% even though the property/casualty market is expected to expand premiums at only 4-5% in 2015.

"Zurich's vision is always long term and our bet on Brazil is now stronger than ever," said Mr. Colmenares.
