Volkswagen Korea likely to recall about 28,000 cars: Sources

Sources have said that Volkswagen Korea, the South Korean unit of German automaker Volkswagen A.G., is likely to recall around 28,000 cars in early 2016 because of a faulty part that could cause possible air bag malfunction, reports The Korea Herald.

Volkswagen Korea has told South Korea's transportation ministry that it would fix the problem for its seven brands being sold in South Korea.

The sources said the recall covers brands including the Jetta, the Tiguan and the Passat that were made between 2010 and 2014.
