Australia-based law firm Bannister Law has filed a class action lawsuit against German automaker Volkswagen A.G. related to the emissions scandal, Xinhua reported.
The automaker has been hit with two class actions that are likely to cost billions of dollars in financial compensation for about 91,000 affected cars in Australia, said Bannister Law.
Australian regulators are currently investigating Volkswagen and have warned that the automaker faces millions of dollars in possible fines related to the scandal.
