Heavy rains, floods hit Middle East

Bad weather has hit the Middle East, with floods and rainstorms affecting several countries of the region, reports CTV News citing The Associated Press.

Egypt's Middle East News Agency reported heavy downpours in several regions of the country, with officials closing the port of Ain Sokhna. Sandstorms and flash floods affected parts of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. High winds and baseball-sized hail hit many cities in Israel.
