Torrential storms hit Sydney

Sydney, Australia, has been hit by torrential storms for the third time in eight days, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Heavy downpours have hit Sydney's central business district.

The storm resulted in power outages in Croydon, Ashfield, Yagoona, Bankstown, Greenacre and Chullora regions.

Wild thunderstorms have hit several regions of South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria states in the recent days due to a deepening low pressure trough moving across south-eastern Australia. Storms and hail caused damage worth $50 million in Western Australia recently.
