Japanese automaker Mazda Motor Corp. has said that it is recalling 923,672 vehicles in the country owing to possible faulty ignition switches, reported The Nation Newspaper.
Mazda said that the recall covers 21 models, including Ford Festiva Familia, Demio, MPV and Ford Laser.
The automaker had reported 13 fire incidents because of the defect.
A Mazda official said that some vehicles in other nations would also be recalled over the same potential defect.
