Most businesses in Vietnam do not purchase insurance in spite of being exposed to high risks such as fire damage, VietNamNet Bridge reports.

Phung Ngoc Khanh, an official at insurance department of Vietnam's finance ministry, said that the number of individuals and businesses purchasing fire insurance "is modest." More than 90% of import firms in the country do not have insurance to cover exchange rate risks.
