Brokerslink, the independent international brokers’ network, on Thursday said it has added 10 new members and plans to work with carriers to develop bespoke products for clients.

Over the next 12 months, the company plans to introduce a series of new products “covering both traditional and emerging risks to provide clients with a strong independent alternative to the multinational brokers,” Brokerslink said in a statement, and expects the first of these to be launched soon.

Brokerslink made the announcement at its 2015 annual conference in New York.

“Some insurance products often don’t deliver all of the coverage and specific benefits we believe are essential to protect their global businesses,” José Fonseca, group CEO, said in the statement. “Brokerslink’s new suite of tailored products will provide cost-effective, flexible and service-led solutions for a wide range of both traditional and emerging risks.”

The new members bring Brokerslink’s membership to 85 brokers operating in 90 countries, according to the statement.

The new members include: Renaissance Insurance Brokers, Nicosia, Cyprus; Canopy Insurance Brokers Ltd., Nairobi, Kenya; Dahlberg Assurance Agentur, Taastrup, Denmark; Midas Insurance Brokers Ltd., Accra-North, Ghana; Tan Management Insurance Brokers Ltd., Moshi Tanzania; MDS Re, Porto, Portugal; E. De Freitas Seguros, Montevideo, Uruguay; Risk Managers Asesores y Corredores de Seguros, Managua, Nicaragua; Hall Prangle and Schoonveld L.L.C., Chicago, and SRBA Broker de Asigurare, Bucharest, Romania.

“We believe Brokerslink offers independent brokers and specialist resources providers with a wholly compelling reason to join forces,” said Mr. Fonseca in the statement.
