JLT expands in South Africa with acquisition of Eikos Risk Applications

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C.'s South African subsidiary has acquired 100% of the brokerage firm Eikos Risk Applications in the country, South Africa's BusinessDay reported.

The acquisition of ERA expands JLT's presence in South Africa and enhances its specialty offering in the country.

"We bought them (ERA) because of what they can do," said Andrew Chislett, CEO of JLT's South African operations, adding that "we would like to take their expertise and expand in the region (Africa)."
