Energy reform in Mexico an opportunity for marine insurers: Law firm

Mexico-based law firm M&L Estudio Legal has said that energy reform in the country could present opportunities for marine insurers, reported BNamericas citing El Economista.

Investment worth about $3 billion in maritime equipment associated with oilfield development could be needed over the coming three years, the law firm said. "The more developed the Mexican merchant shipping industry, the more opportunities for Mexican insurers," an official at the firm said.
