Regulator to force Ryanair to compensate passengers for delays or cancellation
Posted On: Sep. 25, 2015 12:00 AM CSTThe U.K. Civil Aviation Authority has started requiring Ryanair Ltd. to compensate thousands of delayed passengers following a ruling from the European court of justice, reports Venture Capital Post citing The Guardian.
The court said that each passenger can get back up to €600 ($671) if flights are delayed or cancelled because of "technical reasons." The ruling has opened the floodgates for compensation claims against several airlines.
