BMW recalls 55,700 cars in South Korea

South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has said that BMW Korea Co. Ltd. is recalling 55,737 cars in the country due to faults in timing belt tensioners, The Korea Times reported.

The ministry said that a combined 24 BMW and its Mini models have been found to have faulty tensioners that can cause the vehicles to lose power while being driven. The recall covers cars manufactured between Nov. 13, 2007 and June 29, 2013.
