Lloyd's can rebalance portfolio by welcoming alternative reinsurance capital: Chief

Inga Beale, chief executive of Lloyd's of London, has said that Lloyd's can rebalance its portfolio by welcoming alternative reinsurance capital into the market, Artemis.bm reports.

"We feel that because of the pressure from alternative capital, particularly in the reinsurance space, the insurance portfolio is becoming a dominant one, as reinsurance is shrinking," Ms. Beale said. Lloyd's recently said that it is actively looking to develop structures to welcome alternative capital into the market.
