Dominica receives $2.4 million payout from cat risk pool for damage from rains

The CCRIF SPC, a Caribbean catastrophe risk pool, has made a payout of $6.5 million East Caribbean ($2.4 million) to Dominica under its excess rainfall program for rains caused by tropical storm Erika, Caribbean360 reports.

Erika hit Dominica on Aug. 27 and caused huge damage across the nation. The country has received the maximum payable amount under the policy.
